Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane faces several weeks on the sidelines due to injury.
AS says Varane could be set for weeks on the sideline after he injured his thigh muscle against Valencia on Wednesday night.
The medical staff at the club will not know the extent of the injury as they wait for the inflammation to die down and as a result, he will undergo tests on Friday.
As a precaution, he will almost definitely miss the Villarreal game at the weekend when Real Madrid face Fran Escriba's side late on Sunday night.
