Published on: 25 April 2016

Ahead of tomorrow's Champions League clash at the Ethiad against Manchester City, Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale had this to say in the team's press conference earlier today:

"It's great to be back in England, I am really excited for tomorrow, for the game, I know it's gonna be difficult, but it will be an exciting game"

"I think we are feeling confident at the moment, I have to we have to try to impose ourselves on the other team, and we have to go there confident."

Commenting on rumours that the team had fallen out with Christiano Ronaldo Bale stated:

"Arguments with Ronaldo? It's more a media thing, the most important thing is the football and we try to get some trophies. Obviously we wanna win, we know it's going to be a difficult, the game is gonna be tense, I hope to score and do a great performance."

The Welshman also talked about manager Zinidine Zidane :

"Zidane has been amazing since he came in, he gave the confidence and the freedom to express ourselves, we can play our best football, tomorrow we hope to take another game."

To re-enforce this unified image Bale went on to say:

"I think whenever I step on the pitch I try to do the best I can, the important thing is that we attack together, we do our best together. We are a united team and hopefully we can show them tomorrow. No matter who you face in the semifinal, everyone is tough to face, we are looking forward to it, we're excited."

Finally Bale sent out a warning to Manchester City:

"Real madrid is known for winning European cups and Champions LEague, so we will try our best to win the trophy this year"

"We have two legs to go, we have to be smart on how we attack and defend, we have to stick together as a team
I'm surprised that City haven't' got here earlier, they've done very well until this moment and hopefully now we can stop them.

"The players want to play football to play in such big games and to win trophies, tomorrow we will try to enjoy as well."
