Real Madrid president Florentino may defy Zizou with shock De Gea swap proposal

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to defy Zinedine Zidane over the future of Rafael Varane.

Florentino has not dropped his long-term interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea as he seeks to replace current No1 Keylor Navas. However, United boss Jose Mourinho has no interest in losing his star keeper.

But Florentino believes he can change Mourinho's mind by playing a trump card in the form of Varane.

The Real president would be willing to include Varane in their offer for De Gea.

But any deal would run against Zidane's opinion, who not only doesn't see changing his keeper as a priority, but is also desperate not to lose Varane.
