Mahatma Otoo scores for Balikesirspor

Ghana forward Mahatma Otoo rescued a point for Balikesirspor in their 2-2 draw with Umraniyespor in the Turkish Lig 1 at the Ãœmraniye Hekimbaşı Åžehir Stadium on Saturday morning.

Umraniyespor, who have failed to win their last two games in the championship, drawing and losing one apiece, took the lead through Ibrahim Akdag's 53th minute penalty.

And just eight minutes after recess, Italian forward Jean Armel Drole extended the host advantage from the edge of the box before Abdul Ozgen halved the deficit for the visitors in the 67th minute of the game.

The boisterous fans of Umraniyespor were stunned when their former player, Mahatma Otoo powered home the equalizer in the 71st minute to rescue a point for the Reha Erginer's side.

The goal was Otoo's eight in the league as Balkes climb to 8th on the standings with 20 points after 15 matches.
