Video: Red-hot Boakye-Yiadom nets a brace in Sassuolo big derby win

Ghana youth striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom continued his purple patch of scoring form by netting two goals to help Sassuolo thump rivals Modena 5-2 away in the Italian Serie B on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ghanaian increased his goal tally to eight in all competitions this season with the third goal on the stroke of half time with a thunderbolt shot before he run off a solo effort with a sublime piece on 54th mark.

Sansone got the away team on their way to the resounding success with the opening goal on 13minutes and then added the second in the 31st minute.

Boakye-Yiadom then popped up with two goals in the spate of nine minutes.

Greco pulled one back for the home side before Mascuzi put the game beyond the reach of Modena with the fifth goal of the afternoon after 71 minutes.

Fabinho got a late consolation on the 90 minute mark.

Yiadom, who is owned by top-flight side Genoa, has been sensational for the club and his performance continue to attract rave reviews.

He is eyeing a place in Goran Stevanovic's squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
