Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Regan Obeng is confident that playing in the Serbian top-flight will boost his chances of playing in one of Europe’s major leagues.

The 19-year-old is gradually becoming a household name at FK Napredak.

He is expected to play a key role for the capital club this season.

Obeng, already linked with a move to Ajax Amsterdam, knows consistent displays can catapult him to a big club.

“Serbian league is great for young players to develop their talents. Many young players have progressed here because the league is for on the young. Lazar Markovic is now in Liverpool and played for Borac Cacak and Red Star,” he said

“On a personal note I know the structures here can propel me to higher heights so I am looking forward to the season ahead.”
