Kojo Kyeremanteng stormed into the studios of Kumasi-based Angel FM to attack veteran football administrator Jonathan Abbey-Pobie for labeling Ghanaian referees 'corrupt'.

The altercation occurred while the out-spoken President of Neoplan Stars was making his submission on a programme on Wednesday.

Abbey-Pobi insisted Ghanaian referees deserved to be attacked by fans because of their high level of corruption.

This infuriated Kyeremanteng who wanted to retaliate by beating him up.

Words exchanged during the fracas are unprintable.

The case has since been reported to the Police for further investigations and possible prosecution.

Kyeremanteng, a Ghana Premier League referee, was severely beaten up by irate fans at the Cape Coast Stadium for disallowing a late equalizer in Ebusua Dwarfs' 1-0 loss to Aduana Stars.
