Released Kotoko goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama to negotiate severance package
Soulama Abdoulaye no longer needed at Kotoko

Goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye will open negotiations with Asante Kotoko over his severance package after being released by the club.

The Burkina Faso international was told earlier this week he is no longer needed and must bring his seven-year stint with the club to an end.

Soulama struggled for games last season - ultimately dropping in the pecking order against Joseph Addo and Isaac Amoako.

The club have now decided to move on by releasing the ex ASFA Yennega shot-stopper.

But Soulama has one more year left on his contract at Kotoko before – meaning he is eligible for compensation.

The goalkeeper according to reports will visit the club's secretariat on Friday to negotiate his severance package.

Soulama, 34, joined Asante Kotoko from ASFA Yennega in 2007.
