Ghana defender John Boye will return to full training for French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes on Tuesday after recovering from a hamstring.
The 25-year-old had personal training last week and was restricted to biking.
But he returns to training for Frederic Antonetti's side ahead of their Ligue 1 opener with Olympique Lyon on Saturday.
"I will begin training with the team on Tuesday. I'm happy to be back to train and I hope I gain the match fitness to play against Lyon," Boye told MTNFootball.com
Boye's return is a boost for Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah ahead of next week's international friendly against China in Beijing.
Ligue 1 pair Marseille and Lille and English side West Bromwich Albion were reportedly interested in the centre-back who impressed at the 2012 Nations Cup finals.
