Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has denied ever taking bribes from players to name them in his squad.

The former Rwanda national team coach was accused of receiving backhanders from winger Ishmael Yartey who was dropped from the squad for the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup finals which he won.

The Ghana Football Association launched an investigation into the matter and exonerated the Liberty Professionals technical director.

Tetteh in an interview with Metro TV claimed his detractors are those behind those allegations.

"Whatever you do people will talk about it and me I believe in my God", he told Metro TV.

"I can say this for a fact that I have never ever taken bribe from any player and anybody but God knows.

"You see, that is why always God vindicates me when such things comes up against me, and I always excel in adversity."

Tetteh was Ghana’s assistant coach on their debut FIFA World Cup finals appearance in 2006.

He has won the African Youth Championship once in 2009 and finished second at the 2013 championship held in Algeria.

His medal collection includes the bronze medal at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.
