Troubled Ghana giants Accra Hearts of Oak announced their readiness for the Ghana Premier League with a 2-1 win over debutantes Dreams FC in a two-sided friendly at the Dawu Park.

Isaac Oduro broke the virginity of the game in the first half and assisted Kwame Kizito to make it two for the visitors in the first game.

Eric Kumi made it three with the first in the second game when he coolly controlled a long pass from Owusu Bempah, skid past his marker and nutmegged goalkeeper Mozart Adjetey in the 23rd minute.

Leonard Owusu fetched the consolation with to minutes inside the second half of the second game for Dreams FC.

Mustapha_Essuman increased the tally for the visitors with a clinical finish with fifteen minutes to end proceedings.

It was Dreams FC that came closer to breaking the deadlock in the second game when Johnson Oppong had Soulama Abdoulaye to his mercy but shot wide to the relief of the Phobians.

Mozart Adjettey rose to the occasion blocking Mustapha Essuman's 40-yarder shot and dramatically flicked away the rebound by Eric Kumi.

Dreams FC had an opportunity to make amends but Eric Gawu mercifully gave the ball to Soulama Abdoulaye.

Leonard Owusu welcomed Samuel Akurugu with a consolation under two minutes in the second half after Soulama Abdoulaye was substituted.

Veteran Mustapha Essuman intelligently connected Thomas Abbey's through pass, sped past his marker forcing Mozart Adjettey to chase his own shadow to make it four for the Phobians.

The Phobians will be welcoming New Edubiase United in the league opener on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak have gone trophyless for the past seven seasons and will be hoping to please their fans with a major league title this season.
