Interim Black Stars head coach, Maxwell Konadu is reportedly closing in on a return to Asante Kotoko as the Porcupine Warriors are not pleased with the performance of Croatian trainer Zdravko Lugarusic.

According to the reports, Konadu is on the verge of replacing Lugarusic who has departed for his native country following Super Clash defeat against Hearts of Oak.

Lugarusic is unlikely to return to his post hence Kotoko contacting Konadu to take up the position again.

The ex-Ghana international is also believe to be on the brink of losing his job as deputy Coach for the Black Stars as the Ghana Football Association prepare to embark on a total overhaul in the technical team.

Inside sources reveal the Reds had previously contacted former Cameroonian assistant Coach Ibrahim Tanko who is alleged to have rejected the supposed offer due to a looming position as the assistant Coach of the Black Stars.

Maxwell Konadu supervised Kotoko to win the 2012/13 Ghana Premier League before taking up the role as Black Stars assistant Coach.
