Ghana’s referees’ appointment chief Mathew Narh Doe has warned Premier League officials to zip their mouths if they are unable to report perceived bias referees amid growing criticism over their performance as the relegation and title defining-moment looms.

With the Ghana Premier League reaching home stretch, clubs fighting to avoid the drop have complained bitterly about poor officiating, leading to widespread suspicion that there is grand scheme targeted at ‘specific’ teams.

New Edubiase president Yakubu Abdul Salam led the chorus with a sensational verbal rant, accusing Accra and Ewe referees of working against the club, who are at the wrong side of the table.

Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan also had calls to complain about the performance of referee Timothy Obuobisa during their barren draw against Inter Allies.

Great Olympics captain Godwin Attram lambasted Safo Addae for awarding a late ‘dubious’ penalty which ended their tie against Aduana Stars ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

However, in the wake of the mounting criticism over poor officiating, the country’s Referees Appointment Committee head, MNS Doe has warned clubs to report offending officials or shut up.

"I don't understand some of these officials," Matthew Narh Doe is quoted on Joy FM

"I am not worried because if indeed these complaints are valid, these club officials should report to the regulatory bodies officially and stop lodging complaints on radio.

"We appoint refs for games in conjunction with the Premier League Board in an office. Why should we be worried about complaints made on radio and not to us?"

The Ghana Premier League continues this weekend with the race for the title and relegation up for grabs .
