Resilient Kumasi Asante Kotoko qualified to the finals of the FirsTrust G6 Tournament after sharing the spoils with AshantiGold in a pulsating 1-1 draw game at the Essipong Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors opened the scoring through Kwame Boaten with just twenty minutes into the game but the forceful AshantiGold fetched the equalizer two minutes into additional time through Isaac Amoah.

Asante Kotoko in their opening fixture of the competition thrashed Berekum Chelsea 3-1 last Friday while Ashanti Gold settled for a goalless draw game against the same side.

Ashanti Gold dominated play in the second half as they seized Asante Kotoko midfield but they flattered to deceive anytime they got to the Kotoko goal area.

Augustine Sefa was given the marching orders with four minutes to the entire duration of the game when his outstretched landed in the tight of Kotoko goalscorer Kwame Boateng.

Kotoko thus picked four points in two games and they will be facing their old foes Aduana Stars in the final who earlier on walloped Medeama 3-0.

The finals will come off tomorrow at the Essipong Sports Stadium at the exactly 3:45pm on Sunday.
