Ghana international Gideon again made a giant step towards returning to full fitness by playing 45 minutes for New York Red Bull’s reserve team.

The Ghanaian damaged his knee in a game against Columbus Crew last year and has since been unable to kick a ball again.

That was the third major setback for the Ghanaian who has suffered similar career-threatening injuries in his topsy-turvy football career.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that Baah was not going to be bad of the Red Bulls first team in a precautionary measure to have him fully fit for next season.

His return to fitness at this time of the season will afford him enough time to play with the reserve team and subsequently, prepare for top-level football with the first team next season.
