The technical directorate of the Ghana Football Association was ignored when the FA Cup Committee was putting together list of nominees for the various categories of awards for the 2015  FA Cup competition, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Questions were raised regarding the inconsistencies of the awards with the notable one being the Most Valuable Player and the Best Defender of the tournament categories.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko right back, Christopher Bonney was nominated alongside Godfred Saka of Aduana Stars, Robin Gnagne of Accra Hearts of Oak and eventual winner Kwasi Donsu of Medeama SC for the Most Valuabale Player category but the Kotoko defender lost out of the Best Defender category.

Further questioned popped out as to why a player nominated for the MVP could not make it into the Best Defender category of the same competition.

Investigations conducted by Ghanasoccernet.com at the FA's technical directorate revealed that the technical leadership of the Ghana Football Association knew nothing about the nominees as the list was compiled by the members of the FA Cup Committee.

Attempts to reach members of the committee proved futile as the chairman's phone was off while the vice chairman could not answer his call. Other members of the committee did not answer their phone calls.
