REVEALED: Ibrahimovic chose Man Utd over record Chinese offer

Published on: 21 February 2017

Zlatan Ibrahimovic rejected an amazing offer from China to sign with Manchester United last summer.

The Telegraph says Ibrahimovic could have earned a staggering salary had he accepted a move to China last year.

The Swede chose to follow Jose Mourinho to Old Trafford after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.

However, the highly-decorated 35-year-old hitman had the chance for a huge financial boost at the end of his career.

Ibrahimovic has previously stated he snubbed the Chinese Super League to finally join the Premier League with United.

But world-record contract offer was on the table from China worth £60million a year (tax-free), with the salary almost double the £615,000 a week (£32m a year) Shanghai Shenhua are paying Carlos Tevez.
