Manchester United's EFL Cup hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic could've been playing for Southampton on Sunday, it has been revealed.
As a teen Ibrahimovic famously snubbed Arsenal when he was told he would have to undergo a trial.
However, they were apparently not the only UK-based club to previously show an interest signing him.
Journalist Ben Smith, of the BBC and The Times, revealed Ibrahimovic opened up to him in an interview.
He posted on Twitter: "Zlatan continues to amaze.
"Once told me he nearly joined #SaintsFC [Southampton] from Ajax.
"But looks so at home at #MUFC."
