REVEALED: Saudi Arabian side Al-Riyadh SC abandoned Robin Gnagne's proposed move to sign Winful Cobbinah
Ivorian defender Robin Gnagne was supposed to join Al-Riyadh SC

It has been revealed that Saudi Arabian second-tier side Al-Riyadh SC  purposely travelled to Ghana to watch Hearts of Oak's defender Robin Gnagne play before changing their minds to sign attacker Winful Cobbinah instead.

Al-Riyadh SC, who have been following the exploits of the enterprising Ivorian defender travelled down to the Ghanaian capital to watch the him play in the GHALCA Top4 against Heart of Lions last month but they later spotted attacker Cobbinah and called off the Gnagne deal.

Hearts have coupe a reportedly $300,000 from Cobbinah's sale almost half of the amount they were expecting to earn from the sale of the center-back.

Cobbinah travelled to the Saudi capital and sealed the deal last week and is set to debut for the club this weekend.

Gnagna has been on the radar of many stellar clubs for the past few season, including a reported interest from French Ligue 1 money-bags AS Monaco but Hearts are yet to receive any concrete offer for him.
