REVEALED: What Arsenal boss Wenger said to Anthony Taylor…

The reasons for Arsene Wenger's four-game touchline ban have been revealed.

The Arsenal manager was involved in some heated exchanges with fourth official Anthony Taylor during his side's dramatic win over Burnley on January 22.

Moments after he was warned of his behaviour, Wenger allegedly said to Taylor: "You are dishonest to your federation".

The three-man independent commission who investigated the incident felt Wenger implied bias or questioned the integrity of the match officials.

After referee Jon Moss awarded Burnley a late penalty, Wenger also told Taylor to 'f**k off' on at least two occasions, before the match official informed the Frenchman that his accusation was simply unacceptable.

It has also been revealed that after the match, Wenger apologised to Taylor and Moss saying that he 'regretted the choice of language used' and was 'very unhappy with his behaviour'.

Wenger had also shoved Taylor away when he was sent to the stands, telling the commission that he 'thought he could go to the tunnel and watch the game from there' and that 'nobody had given him instructions'.
