Richard Mpong set to sign for Czech side FK Dukhla Prague

Promising Medeama winger Richard Mpong is on the verge of sealing a lucrative move to Czech side FK Dukhla Prague, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old emerged as a huge target for Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko after impressing heavily for the Mauves and Yellows last season.

The Kumasi-based club claimed they had reached an agreement with the player over a potential transfer to the club.

But the Porcupine Warriors have been dealt a massive blow after Prague slapped in a bid to sign prize him away with a mouth-watering offer.

GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that the Black Stars winger will arrive in the European country next week on the invitation of the Prague-Dejvice-based side for further assessments before making a final decision on his future.

The meteoric rise of the highly-rated saw him score on his Black Stars debut during a 1-1 draw against Chile in March.

Mpong was a member of the Ghana Under-17 team who finished fourth at the 2007 FIFA World Cup in Korea.

He played a key role in the Ghana Under-23 side who won gold at the 2011 All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.
