Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be looking to acquire the services of a foreign goalkeeper, with indications that the player could be loaned out in the new 2017/18 season.

The Siya crew revealed in April this year that Ghanaian goalkeeper, Richard Ofori was being assessed by Sundowns, as he looked to secure a professional contract in Mzansi’s top flight.

Masandawana currently have Colombian, Leonardo Castro, Brazilian, Ricardo Nascimento, Algerian, Fares Hachi and Ivorians, Yannick Zakri and Soumahoro Bangaly registered in their five foreign quota spots.

Indications are that Sundowns will not be making any changes to their foreign quota spots just yet, as they look to maintain their Champions League squad this year, having already lost both Teko Modise and Wayne Sandilands.

The Brazilians recently parted ways with goalkeeper, Sandilands, however, indications are that the club could look to hold on to Thela Ngobeni’s services, following his return from his loan stint with Free State Stars in the 2016/17 season.

Now, it remains to be seen when the club will make an official announcement about new additions and adjustments to their squad in the coming weeks.
