France-based Yaw Yeboah says he is motivated to even excel more after being nominated for the CAF Young Player of the Year award.

The 18-year-old is being recognized for his immense performance with the Ghana U20 team both at the Africa and World Cup tournaments in the year under review.

The Manchester City youngster who is currently on loan at Lille is competing for the coveted award at the upcoming Glo-CAF awards gala against Malian and Nigerian duo Adama Traore, Samuel Diarra and Kelchi Nwakali, Victor Osimhen respectively.

Yeboah, a graduate of Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy says he is elated by the nomination and says it will inspire him to achieve greater feats.

“It is great!” he told Starr FM.

“I did well in some games and other games weren’t so great but I am focused.

“This will push me to do even more.”
