The stubborn thieves, who raided the home of Michael Esien tracked the Ghana star for days, police report has revealed.

Essien, who plays for Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos, had his home ransacked while he was out on dinner with friends last week.

But fresh police report has revealed the thieves followed the former Chelsea man for days and tracked his movement before embarking on their dastardly act.

Former Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder, who currently plays for local giants Panathinaikos, looks to have suffered so much that he took to the internet to reveal the robbery.

Essien made the revelation after his Panathinaikos team had lost 1-0 at home to Xanthi on Saturday - the team's first defeat since he joined the Greek side

Ghanasoccernet.com insiders close to the Ghanaian midfielder reveal that Essien lost watches, jewelry and money when the thieves raised the house located in the exclusive seaside town of Varkizas in the Athens area.
