Everton manager Ronlad Koeman is looking at the possibility of bringing back Chelsea defender Baba Rahman to the English Premier League as early as this January.

Rahman who is on a season long loan deal with German side Schalke 04 has played in ten Bundesliga games but has impressed mostly in the UEFA Europa League where he has showed the same form that made Chelsea pay almost £20million for his signature last season.

Koeman is looking to inject life into his ageing back line and is looking at the possibility of enticing Chelsea with giving the player the platform to grow in the English Premier League.

Chelsea’s football director Michael Emenalo is a strong admirer of Baba Rahman and was initially reluctant on allowing the left back to return to Germany and would fancy a loan deal that would see the 23-year-old play in the English Premier League.

Rahman has started just five Bundesliga matches but has found himself a regular in Schalke's Europa League campaign.

Koeman will also look into the possibility of landing Burnley ace Michael Keane but they face serious competition from both Chelsea and Leicester.
