Midfielder Charles Takyi has adjusted to life in the Black Stars camp and ready to explode at the Nations Cup.

The Germany youth international announced his desire to play for Ghana in September last year and was a surprise inclusion in final Nations Cup squad.

"It is very nice with the guys here. They took me like a brother and I feel very happy to be among them," Takyi told GHANAsoccernet.com

"On the team, we have prepared well and ready to play at the tournament."

The 27-year-old made his debut in November in an international friendly against Gabon in Paris.

He made cameo appearances for the Black Stars during their pre-Nations Cup warm up matches on tour in Rustenburg, South Africa.

Takyi, born in Accra to Ghanaian parents, could be handed a surprise debut call-up for next month's double header against Sudan and Nigeria.

He currently plays in the German second-tier league with St Pauli but was a member of the side who featured in the Bundesliga last season
