Real Tamale United captain Hassan Mohammed has launched a scathing attack on referee Sumaila Ibrahim after the side's 1-0 defeat at Chelsea deepened their relegation woes.

Chelsea were awarded a hotly contested penalty late in the second half that has left coach Moahmmed Gargo's charges all to do in the remaining three matches.

The ex-Heart of Oak defender was livid at the decision of the referee had some harsh words for him.

"We keep talking about the performance of such referees in Ghana and we’re made not to talk, but I am totally mad at the way he handled this game," An incensed Mohammed said.

"You were here and you saw it. Was it a penalty, you tell me, this is shameful and such unscrupulous people should not be allowed to destroy the game. I am appalled at him and he’ll live to regret this day."

Players and officials are yet to be sanctioned heavily by the Ghana federation over comments on referees’ performances as done in Europe.
