SAD NEWS: Ghanaian left back Gideon Baah injured in Red Bull stalemate

New York Red Bulls Ghanaian defender, Gideon Baah sustained a late injury in his side’s 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew on Saturday.

Gideon Baah started his second successive game and finally looked like the player who started for the Red Bulls at the beginning of the season.

His promising form was cut short by injury in mid-March and it has been a long road back to the starting lineup for the 24-year-old.

The game did not end well for the former reality tv star as he was injured blocking a shot in the 92nd minute.

He returned to the pitch shortly after walking-off but was stretchered-off when Columbus Crew equalised through Ola Kamara.

The Red Bulls scored the opener in the 52nd minute when Alex Muyl ran down a long ball down the right sideline from Dax McCarty and sent a perfect cross into the box that Bradley Wright-Phillips headed in for his ninth goal.
