Former Ghana Under-17 star Saddick Adams has admitted he cannot wait to revive his international career after been handed a call-up into the national Olympic team.

The 21-year-old, on loan at Libyan side Al Hilal Benghazi, from Etoile du Sahel will team up Meteors on Thursday for the crucial second leg London 2012 Olympics qualifier against Sudan on 9 April.

The Black Meteors must overtun a 1-0 deficit suffered in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

"It's a dream come true and I want to say thank the authorities for the chance to prove myself again," Adams told Accra-based Citi FM.

It's been a long time since I wore the national jersey and I think the time has come for me to do something for the national team. As a striker I need to score goals and can only do that if I get the support from my team-mates."

He added: "The way is not close for us at all because we can also get result there and that’s what we’ll be working on."

He will reunite with his former boss David Duncan who coached him during his days at local side AshantiGold.

He has not played for any of the junior national teams since he starred at the 2007 Fifa Under-17 World Cup in South Korea.
