Berekum Chelsea striker Sadick Adams has revealed his latest knee injury is not serious as previously reported.

The 22-year-old picked up a problem in his knee at the team’s training grounds ahead of their Premier League against Heart of Oak.

It was widely reported that the former Etoile du Sahel was expected to sit out for up to three months.

But he has moved quickly to ease fears and reassured the fans the problem is minor.

“It looked like a broken bone in my leg but it is not as serious as it was reported in the media,” Adams said

“I will not be out for three months. Far from it. I was in line to be selected for the Hearts game when I picked up the knock.

“I should be out for about a month and half.

Adams joined Chelsea at the start of the season.
