Sadick Adams ruled out of Tunisian League opener

In-form Ghanaian striker Sadick Adams will miss the Tunisian League opener for Etoile du Sahel against rivals Esperance on Friday night.

He picked up an injury to his ankle making him unavailable for the local derby to be played at the Rades Stadium home of Esperance.

Adams, 19, hit a rich vein of form in the club's pre-season, scoring three goals in four matches and providing one assist.

The Ghana youth international returned to the North African outfit this season after failed stints at Athletico Madrid and Serbian side FK Vojvodina.

Compatriot Harrison Afful is however fit and raring to go for the champions Esperance after a good output in the Caf Champions League.

The former Asante Kotoko player was employed as a make-shift right-winger in the Champions League tie and should retain his starting place.
