Salah's record-breaking first season

LIVERPOOL, England -- Mohamed Salah's record-breaking 2017-18 season is showing no signs of slowing down.

As Salah keeps scoring, the records keep falling. ESPN FC has chronicled some of the records the Egypt international has broken and feats achieved during his memorable first season at Liverpool.

JuneSalah breaks Liverpool's transfer record

Having very nearly joined Liverpool, instead of Chelsea, in the winter of 2014, Salah eventually arrived at Anfield last summer from Roma for an initial fee of £36.9 million, which was a club-record transfer fee at the time.

AugustScoring on his Premier League debut

Salah's goal at Vicarage Road on the opening day of the season led to him becoming the 12th different player to score on his Premier League debut for Liverpool.

Twenty goals before Christmas

Scoring in the 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Dec. 17, Salah becomes the first Premier League player to have scored 20 times in all competitions during the 2017-18 season. He was the first player to do it for Liverpool since Ian Rush in 1986.

Equals Roger Hunt's record

The forward's double against Leicester City now sees him share a record with World Cup-winner Hunt, who netted 23 goals in a season before New Year in the 1961-62 season.

Salah's composed finish in the 5-0 win at Porto in a round-of-16 Champions League tie brought up goal No. 30 after just 36 appearances. Allan is the only other Liverpool player to better that.

Salah sets left-footed goals record

His goal against West Ham United was the 20th occasion in 2017-18 that Salah had scored in the Premier League with his left foot, surpassing Fowler's 19 left-footed strikes in 1994-95.

Prem player of the month a second time

His four Premier League goals and two assists in the month of February is recognised ahead of six other nominees, including Sergio Aguero and Chelsea's Hazard.

He scored in all four of Liverpool's fixtures during February.
