Ex-Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffour is a special guest of honour for the 2012 Safaricom Sportsman of the Year Awards Gala night in Kenya.
The former Bayern Munich star will arrive in Nairobi early Wednesday morning ours ahead of the ninth edition of the awards set for Carnivore later in the day.
Kuffour is regarded as one of the successful African players to have played in Europe affter winning 17 major titles with the Bavarians.
He played 12 years for the Bundesliga outfit and capped his impressive displays with the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2001.
Kuffour made almost 250 appearances for Bayern.
In 2001, he was controversially denied the African Footballer of the Year Award by finishing second behind El Hajj Diouf.
