Sampdoria defender Lorenzo De Silvestri has praised Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan who impressed on his debut last Sunday.

Duncan, on loan from Inter Milan, replaced Roberto Soriano pulled out during the warm-up ahead of their match against Cagliari.

He lasted 76 minutes before being substituted by Alessio Romagnoli at the Stadio Sant'Elia where they earned a 2-2 draw with ten men.

“I would like to make a special mention to Duncan who had never played and had a great game,” Silvestri said about Duncan’s performance.
