Sampdoria continued their perfect home record with a dramatic 3-2 win over champions Juventus on Sunday.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri rested goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli and Paulo Dybala, but his side could have led when Gonzalo Higuain's strike was deflected narrowly wide early on.

Samp forward Fabio Quagliarella shot wide before Higuain was thwarted by an offside flag in an and-to-end spell and then Juve saw a penalty appeal for handball turned down.

But the home side broke through after 52 minutes when Duvan Zapata headed past Wojciech Szczesny, doubling their advantage 20 minutes later as Lucas Torreira blasted home.

A memorable win appeared to have been wrapped up when Gian Marco Ferrari added a third with five minutes of normal time remaining, only for champions Juve to stage a dramatic late rally.

With 89 minutes played, Ivan Strinic was adjudged to have brought down Douglas Costa and Higuain netted from the spot.

And four minutes into added time, it was 3-2 when Dybala, on as a substitute, fired home a low shot -- but the home side held on.
