Sampdoria return for Inter defender almost complete

Following the departure of Juan Jesus to Roma, Inter are set to lose another player as Dodo is edging closer to a move to Sampdoria.

The Brazilian defender spent the second part of last season on loan at the Blucerchiati and quickly grew to be a key member of their squad, appearing in all but one of their Serie A matches after joining them.

As a result, Sampdoria are keen to bring him back, and reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that a transfer is almost complete, with the 24-year-old set to join on loan with a compulsory purchase of €5.5 million for the club to pay at the end of the spell.

Dodo moved to Italy in 2012 from Brazilian side Corinthians, spending two years at Roma and then switching to Inter, before being loaned out to Sampdoria.
