Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim has revealed his side's target this season is to win the league.

The Phobians last won the league in 2009 and have tried in the past six seasons to claim the trophy but to no avail.

Hearts are third on the league table, a point behind leaders All Stars, but Samudeen believes they are on course and will clinch the league title.

"We all know that we are chasing for the league title and everybody’s target is to win the trophy and that is our target as a club,” he told Asmpa FM.

The playmaker is disappointed the team failed to earn maximum points against Liberty professionals, but says they accept the result because they were complecent.

"Draws are part of the game but we are disappointed with what happened. We had the first goal but we allowed complacency to set in and they took advantage of that but we are still disappointed with the draw that we had.” He said.
