Sekondi Hasaacas winger Samuel Afful has blamed match officials for their 1-0 loss to leaders Accra Hearts of Oak, insisting they were robbed.

According to the skillful winger, he scored what appeared a legitimate goal but center referee O.B. Amankwah disallowed it.

The controversy surrounding the disallowed goal keeps dominating the airwaves and the influential Hasaacas star insists they were robbed.

“What will happen is just what we just saw. Bad officiating is what has cost us. We scored a clean goal but the referee disallowed it,” Afful said in a post-match interview.

“The game is over and we need to prepare for our next game. It’s just sad that we have been robbed by the referee,” he added.
