Former player and management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Gyamfi has given the first backlash to yet-to-be-confirmed president of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Sammy Kuffour, insisting he talks too much and that is breach of tradition.

Nicknamed the Black President, the outspoken former Ghana international mentioned in an interview that his only problem with the ‘president elect’ was coming out to announce his appointment ahead of Manhyia-his new employers.

“…Kuffuor is talking too much, what if Nana changes his mind of the decision to make him the new head of the club? We don’t do that, it is untraditional.”

“I took his number from someone so I can offer him a piece of advice on some of these things, but he refused to pick my call, maybe he doesn’t know my number.”

“He is a fine gentleman, everybody wants the club to succeed but he should have allowed Nana to officially announce him as the club’s new head,” said Gyamfi.

Reports from the Garden City of Kumasi indicated that Kuffuor would be unveiled this Friday as the club’s new executive chairman to replace the Paul Adu Gyamfi-led board and Opoku Nti Management team.
