Italian Serie A side Sassuolo Calcio could send Ghanaian teenager Abass Alhassan on loan to enable him gain more first team experience.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder arrived at the Reggio Emilia from Ghanaian second-tier side Prampram United last season but has failed to break into the club's first team squad for Serie A games.

With I Neroverdi entangled with relegation issues, manager Alberto Malesanin is not ready to risk introducing the youngster into his midfield as the club wants to desperately beat the drop.

Abass went into the season with high hopes of gatecrashing the Sassuolo first team squad for the season after excelling in the pre-season TIM Cup tournament when he helped Sassuolo to beat giants AC Milan.

A couple of Serie B sides including Latina and Spezia have already shown interest in signing the youngster and Sassuolo would consider loaning him out at the end in January.
