Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad Jeddah have decided against signing Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Ittihad were interested in the 28-year-old but had a planned medical in Madrid cancelled at the eleventh hour.

The Ghana international is still scouring for a new club after Schalke released him at the end of the season.

Ittihad president Mansour Balawi has confirmed his outfit is no longer interested in the former AC Milan man

‘Boateng won’t join us. We have to move on since he is not ready,’ Balawi told reporters in Saudi Arabia.

Boateng is racing against time to sign for an European club with the transfer window expected to shut on Monday night.
