Schalke coach Jens Keller is confident his star player Kevin Prince Boateng will soon rediscover his form following a disappointing start to the season.
The Ghana international has come in for severe criticism after his below-par performance in the season opener 2-1 defeat at Hannover 96.
But Keller has backed Boateng to come to the party if he is able to shake off a knee injury and play some part in their match against defending champions Bayern Munich.
“Boateng is a special player and we have spoken and we both understand he has to improve,” Keller said
“His quality is very clear and we have to be patient with him since every player goes through period.
“I am confident he has the ability to respond in a positive way.”
