Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng remains optimistic of securing a summer move despite admitting to difficulties in getting a new club.

The 28-year-old has recently had two prospective moves falling through for varied reasons.

Boateng looked set to join Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad but an agreement was not reached over his personal terms.

He then flew into Portugal earlier this week with the aim of sealing a move to Sporting Lisbon but disagreements over his image rights crashed the deal.

The suspended Black Stars forward admits there are difficulties in him finding a new club but remains upbeat of securing a move.

"No, that's not my way. I want to play football,” he said.

“The situation is not easy for Schalke and for me. But I am optimistic that we will find the best solution for both sides.”

Boateng is desperate for a summer move after being told he no longer has a playing future at Schalke despite having a year left to run on his contract.
