Former Barcelona star Bernd Schuster says Jorge Sampaoli should succeed Luis Enrique.
Sevilla are currently in new contract talks with Sampaoli.
Schuster told El Chiringuito of Barca's troubles: “They are losing football in their most important area of the pitch, in the midfield. Before they had Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta, who are total football. Now Madrid have done better there, they have more options."
Asked if Sampaoli could capture Barcelona's philosophy, he added: “I think so, yes", adding: “Sampaoli is very intense, he lives football, I like what he's doing with the team and how he plays. He's come to Spain and been good, and he has something with the players."
