Scottish side Partick Thistle will attempt to sign Ghana midfielder Prince Buaben on a permanent basis this summer, manager Alan Archibald has confirmed.

The Ghanaian international joined the side on loan but has been released by Carlisle United.

He was instrumental as Thistle in its bid to secure top-flight status and manager Alan Archibald has confirmed he is poised to make the deal permanent.

“We’ll try to keep Lyle and Prince. Obviously, they’ll have other options but Prince should be easier to deal with because he’s been released.”

It’s always a risk when you bring someone in on loan, especially when you’re fighting to stay up. You wonder if they’ll really care because it’s not really their club.
