RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg will miss the remainder of the 2017/18 Bundesliga season, after being handed a three-match ban for his red card offence in the 5-2 defeat to Hoffenheim on Matchday 31.
Forsberg, 26, was sent off early in the second half of the game at the Red Bull Arena, after appearing to throw an arm in the direction of Hoffenheim's Florian Grillitsch in a challenge.
Leipzig will not appeal the DFB (German Football Association) Sports Tribunal's decision.

Forsberg - the 2016/17 Bundesliga's leading assist provider - will be a big miss for last season's runners-up, having only recently returned to full match fitness following injury. The Sweden international had started the last four games.
Leipzig, currently four points behind the UEFA Champions League places, face Mainz (a), Wolfsburg (h) and Hertha Berlin (a) in the run-in.
