Security is on high alert  ahead of Bechem United’s Premier League showdown against Ashantigold on Wednesday.

The crunch tie has attracted massive lenses following reports of a potential rout at the Bechem Park.

Fans of the home side are threatening brimstone and fire if the result do not go their way with referee JA Amenya their principal target.

They have served notice they will deal ruthlessly with the centre referee for any perceived act of bias officiating against their side in the must-win game.

They have rejected the selection of Amenya with claims Ashantigold chief executive Kudjoe Fianoo influenced his choice.

They also claim the centre referee is a close ally of the Ashantigold boss and will not countenance on any bias officiating against their side on Wednesday.

Following the latest threat from the supporters, security will be beefed up ahead of the encounter between the two sides with contrasting fortunes.

Police has warned the teams’ hardcore fan groups of any attempt to cause mayhem at the match venue, promising to deal pitilessly against anyone who foment trouble.

Ashantigold is topping the league’s chart with 44 points and need a win consolidate their push for their first Premier League crown in 20-years.
