Hasaacas duo Tennyson Opoku and Theophilus Awotwe have joined Mauritanian Ligue 1 side ASC Nasr Zem Zem.

The two players have both signed one-year deals each after impressing on trial.

Hasmal player Roger Lamptey, a rejected trialist, confirmed the deal to Takoradi-based Aseda FM.

“I couldn’t get a deal for myself because I was told the team only needed one midfielder and a defender so I had no chance of joining them,” he said.

“But Tennyson (Opoku) and Nana Awortwe have all signed for the club (ASC Zem Zem) and have joined the team for the second round of the league.

“It is not that I failed trials but the club couldn’t register more than three foreign players and they had already signed two so I had no option than to return.”
