The Senegal U20 side will play Ghana next month

As part of their preparations towards the 3rd round play-off of the 2017 U20 Afcon with the Black Satellites of Ghana, the Young Lions of Terrenga beat Gambia by 2-0 in a friendly.

Two spot kicks neatly converted by Alassane Diouf and Ibrahima Ndiaye ensureD the Senegalese registered the comfortable win over the strong Gambian side.

Gambian defender Adama Jarju brought down Alassane Diouf in the penalty area in the 38th minutes under the eagle eyes of the referee.

Diouf stood for the kick and neatly misplaced the goalkeeper to fetch the opener for the home side.

The Gambians fought back industriously but the Senegalese goalie Iddrissa Ndiaye responded excellently to deny the equalizer.

Both sides fought gallantly in the second half in a game that was ending with the lone goal when dangerman Alassane Diouf was brought down again in the 81st minute by Lamin Sonko for Ibrahima Ndiaye to convert perfectly.
