Bernard Mensah is hoping for a Ghana call

Portuguese-based Ghanaian youngster Bernard Mensah is hoping to earn a call-up from Ghana following his explosive early season form for Vitoria Guimares in the Primeira Liga.

The 19-year-old former Fetteh Feyenoord Academy graduate has hit a rich vein of form as he has bagged four goals in his last four games for Vitoria Guimares and scored to deny FC Porto a win on Sunday.

And, he is hoping his fine form would earn him a call-up from Ghana.

“I am always ready for my country and will honor their call anytime any day," he told All Sports.

Vitoria Guimares early season form has seen them gone second on the table and Mensah hopes to keep them propelling.

“My expectation for this season is to win almost all of our games so we can be on top and everyone should watch out for surprises."
